For our APRIL Tintero Projects Monthly Reading Series FEATURE, we bring you – Les presentamos a Daniel Peña!
Now to celebrate and echo the work of the Latino/a Theatre New Playwright’s Festival: Sin Muros at Stages Repertory Theatre, Tintero Projects and Stages have teamed up to help bring more Latino/a audiences to the theatre!
REMEMBER – This Reading Series happens every 2nd Monday of the month and we are looking for the fire with all the bold readings and inspirations!
Daniel Peña is a Pushcart Prize winning writer and Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Houston-Downtown. Formerly, based out of la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City where he worked as a writer, blogger, book reviewer and journalist. He is a Fulbright-Garcia Robles Scholar and a graduate of Cornell University. His fiction has appeared in Ploughshares, The Rumpus, the Kenyon Review Online, Callaloo, and Huizache among other venues. He’s currently a regular contributor to the Guardian and the Ploughshares blog and his novel, BANG, is out from Arte Publico Press. He lives in beautiful Houston, Texas.
